How Filters Work

Filtering occurs dynamically as the user is typing or selecting filtering criteria.  Users can filter on any or all of the filter dialog selection fields.  Date ranges, lower, upper, or both lower and upper dates, are presented from calendars.  Coordinates, width, height and influence are selected by specifying lower, upper, or both lower and upper limits.

Filters are not case-sensitive.  String field filters will return any record containing, and not necessarily beginning with the string entered.  Examples of string fields are FaceID and RoundID, Zone, Working, Orebody, Type, Geologist, Method and Destination.

Records passing filter criteria entered are automatically selected, but records passing the filters can be individually de-selected by unchecking a box.

Filters are project-specific.  Filters created in one project will not be seen in another project.  This is done to help limit the quantity of saved filters so that they are more manageable.

Approximately 150 faces can be selected by a filtering operation at one time.  If the filters result in more than 150 faces, the user will receive a "Network Error" message after exiting from the filtering dialog and during the face loading process.  This limit is related to the capacity of the web browser to store and process chunks of information.  It will NOT prevent the user from running full (csv) reports on the selection, however.
